Anchor Inference is a small specialized practice: the founder personally designs, implements and hands over AI systems into operation. This format means direct responsibility for the architecture and the result.
About the name. Anchor is a closed perimeter: data, models and logs stay in your infrastructure.

AI Systems Engineer · founderSince January 2024 I have been responsible for the backend and infrastructure of the Lan e-library’s AI services — LanGPT, AI-Snippets, Search 2.0, Books Keywords Generator: architecture, development, integration, Kubernetes deployment, monitoring and production support. In parallel I develop Protocore, a self-hosted AI agent platform with an open core, and Daedalus.
My focus is engineering production systems around LLMs, not training models: services, RAG and backend architecture, integrations, resilience, observability and operation under latency and cost constraints.
Data, models and code
Three provisions that go into the contract and can be checked against the deployment diagram.
where the data is
In the client’s infrastructure: on-prem or in the client’s cloud. The corpus, index and logs are not moved to the contractor; external integrations and telemetry only per an agreed list.
where the models are
Open models run locally via vLLM, chosen for the task and hardware. A hybrid with external APIs is possible if the client’s requirements allow it. Model updates are described in the operations document.
whose code
Rights to the system’s code are set in the contract; by default the code is transferred to the client. The Protocore core is open under MPL-2.0; the platform layer is licensed separately. Configuration, Helm charts and documentation are handed over together with the code.
Support and handover
Terms fixed before work begins.
infrastructure
The cluster, GPU nodes, network and access are maintained by the client’s team; system services, models and indexes — Anchor Inference within the scope of the contract.
incidents
Response on business days within one business day; other arrangements per the contract. A written analysis of the cause and the fix, based on logs and traces. 24/7 support is not promised by default.
independence
Code, configuration and documentation stay with the client; the team is trained in operation and updates; the client can continue the work without ongoing dependence on the contractor.
